Product developments 16/17 - IntegraCheck® | Integrity Due Diligence

IntegraCheck® I Integrity due diligence offers access to our knowledge, guidance and advice based on the client’s specific goals, risk tolerance and engagements.

This is how The Red Flag Group is different from any other provider of compliance services in our industry.

Our reports

We have seen dramatic enhancements this year to the Firm’s capabilities within the IntegraCheck® | Integrity Due Diligence product. We have opened offices in several regions around the world, and this focus on a local presence provides us with the ability to deliver unsurpassed local expertise. It is not enough to simply report a risk found in a news article. Our teams are able to see and describe that risk in a local context vital to our clients’ understanding and appreciation of what that risk means to them. This local presence also translates into unrivalled access to primary source information around the world. We are increasingly being asked to develop due diligence profiles on companies and individuals in hard-to-reach markets, such as Iran and Iraq, while also staying on top of more traditional markets, such as China. Our teams in Latin America and Europe have also experienced significant growth with a corresponding increase in research capabilities.

In addition to our increased strength in localised research capabilities, our significant investments in technology are expected to dramatically increase our ability to scale to large projects. With a projected launch date in 2017, the IntegraCheck® | Integrity Due Diligence Database and accompanying workflow management system will exponentially increase our ability to cope with dramatic swings in report volume while at the same time enhancing quality and capturing research data to be used as reference material for future reports. This commitment to enhanced quality and scalability will enable the Firm to effectively meet our obligations as trusted advisers to our clients.

We are committed to providing due diligence as part of a holistic compliance service and not a cookie-cutter approach to due diligence research. Through a combined service and product suite, employing innovative technologies and senior, highly qualified professional services staff, we are able to deliver on this commitment.

We have increased our Professional Services teams by 300% since the beginning of 2016, with hundreds of experienced country and industry experts across research centres in Hong Kong, Manila, Shanghai, Penang, Krakow, London, Amman, Dubai, Phoenix and Panama City. Each of these Professional Services teams is led by an experienced attorney who specialises in compliance and ensures the information our clients need to know is included in their report. Our Professional Services teams receive ongoing and robust training to ensure they are up to date on enforcement trends and both global and local changes in compliance risks.

The development of a risk-classification system, incorporating 30 distinct risk areas, is now in its second year, and we have found this level of granularity in risk classification allows us to pinpoint risk trends for our clients in a way not before possible. Our clients have
a clearer understanding of the types of risks they face based on the regions in which they operate and the types of third parties with whom they engage.

Client requirements

We recognise that a one-size-fits-all approach to due diligence is insufficient to address the compliance needs of our clients. It is because of this that we engage with our clients at a much deeper level than is customary in the compliance industry. We take the time to meet with our clients and design a holistic compliance programme. In doing this, we are able to tailor the IntegraCheck® | Integrity Due Diligence reports for each client to meet their specific goals, risk tolerances and engagements.

Guidance and advice

Our attorney-led Professional Services teams have enabled us to provide guidance and advice as part of all our IntegraCheck® | Integrity Due Diligence reports. Where it is common to find companies providing due diligence reporting on third parties, it is uncommon to find one capable of providing actionable interpretations of the risks found during the due diligence process as well as recommendations on a way forward based on those risks. Our “What Does It Mean To You” section of each presented risk allows our clients to understand how each risk could impact their particular business.
